Random Song Lyrics I Really Like

My blogs won't always this unfocused, I'm just doing my best to work out what I actually want to write about.

"Well, never mind, we are ugly but we have the music."- Leonard Cohen, 'Chelsea Hotel #2"

"I once loved a woman, a child I am told, I gave her my heart, but she wanted my soul."- Bob Dylan, 'Don't Think Twice, It's Alright'

"And you may ask yourself- What is that beautiful house? And you may ask yourself- Where does that highway go to? And you may ask yourself- Am I right?...Am I wrong? And you may say to yourself- my God! What have I done?"- Talking Heads, 'Once In A Lifetime'

"They hurt you at home and they hit you at school. They hate you if you're clever and they despise a fool, till you're so f*cking crazy you can't follow their rules."- John Lennon, 'Working Class Hero'

"It's not the side effects of the cocaine- I think it must be love."- David Bowie, 'Station To Station'

"Ooh it gets dark, it gets lonely on the other side from you."- Kate Bush, 'Wuthering Heights'

"And if the band you're in start playing different tunes, I'll meet you on the dark side of the moon.'- Pink Floyd, 'Brain Damage'

"In the days of my youth I was told what it means to be a man, now I've reached that were I try to do all those things as best as I can."- Led Zeppelin, 'Good Times, Bad Times'

"Please allow me to introduce myself, I'm a man of wealth and of taste, I've been around for long, long years and I've stole many a man's soul and faith."- The Rolling Stones, 'Sympathy For The Devil'

"I was born, lucky me"- The Kinks, 'Victoria'

"That's me in the corner, that's me in the spotlight."- R.E.M, 'Losing My Religion'

"Only hope can keep me together, love can mend your life but love can break your heart."- The Police, 'Message In A Bottle'

"Maybe there is a God above, but all I've ever learned from love was how to shoot somebody who outdrew you, and it's not a cry that you hear at night it's not somebody who's seen the light. It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah."- Leonard Cohen, 'Hallelujah'

"From War of Worlds- invaded by Mars"- Queen, 'Radio Ga Ga'

"And as we wind on down the road, there walks a lady we all know, who shines white light and wants to show how everything still turns to gold, and if you listen very hard the truth will come to you at last, when all is one and one to be a tock and not to roll."- Led Zeppelin, 'Stairway To Heaven'

"What do you see when you turn out the light? I can't tell you, but I know it's mine."- The Beatles, 'With A Little Help From My Friends'

"Now Ophelia, she's 'neath the window, for her I feel so afraid, on her twenty-second birthday she already is an old maid to her, death is quite romantic, she wears an iron vest. Her profession's her religion, her sin is her lifelessness"- Bob Dylan, 'Desolation Row'

"When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse, out of the corner of my eye, I turned to look, but it was gone, I can not put my finger on it now, the child has grown- the dreamis gone."- Pink Floyd, 'Comfortably Numb'

My last offering-

"I met a girl who sang the blues and I aksed her for some happy news, but she just smiled and turned away."- Don McLean- 'American Pie'

That's all I can think of right about now. Any personal suggestions would be good. I know as soon as I post this I will think of a 100 more I could have put.

I think we certainly showed that gambling machine that man hasnt given in to machines just yet. Yes, a splendid victory.
I always like the opening of Julia..."Half of what I say is meaningless, but I say it just to reach you, Julia"
